Behind Every Song Is a Story Only You Could Tell
We didn't build MelodyMuse because the world needed another app. We built it because the people we love deserve more than a gift bag and a receipt.
Meet Don
Founder & Creator
I've spent thirty years doing creative work — writing, producing, building things that make people feel something. And somewhere along the way, I noticed a pattern that quietly broke my heart: the people who matter most to us get the least personal gifts.
We'll spend an hour choosing the right restaurant. We'll rewrite a text four times before hitting send. But when it comes to the gift — the thing that's supposed to carry the weight of everything we feel — we hand them a bag from a store and hope the thought counts. I've been that guy. Standing in an aisle at 9 PM, knowing that nothing on these shelves says what I actually mean.
MelodyMuse started with one question: what if you could give someone a song that tells your story — not a playlist someone else assembled, but an original piece of music with their name, your memories, and the thing you've been carrying around but never said out loud? That's what we make. And every single time someone presses play for the first time, I know we got it right.
What We're Really Building
There's a moment that happens every time. Someone presses play. They hear their name. They hear a lyric about the camping trip, or the way they laugh too loud at their own jokes, or the thing they said that one night that nobody else remembers. And they break.
That's not a feature we built. That's what happens when someone realizes you sat down and told your story — the details only you carry, the moments that would have disappeared if you hadn't taken five minutes to share them. The act of telling that story is part of the gift. The song is what makes it last.
MelodyMuse lives at the intersection of what technology can compose and what only you can say. The magic isn't the music. The magic is that you gave someone proof — real, permanent, unmistakable proof — that they are known.
How It Works (It's Easier Than Picking a Card)
Start with a Name
Who's the person? The one you can't stop thinking about. The one who made you who you are, or the one who just made you laugh until you couldn't breathe last Thursday. Start with their name. That's enough.
Pick the Voice That Fits Them
Warm and acoustic? Bright and full of energy? Something that sounds like a late-night kitchen conversation? Choose the voice that would make them stop mid-sentence and listen.
Share What Only You Know
You don't need to be a writer. Just tell us: the inside joke, the road trip that went sideways, the thing you've always wanted to say but the moment never came. We'll find the melody. You bring the truth.
The Gift That Rewrites the Room
Not a candle. Not a gift card. This is the one that makes someone press pause on the rest of the party. The one they play again in the car on the way home, alone, when they can finally let themselves cry.
Your Gift Reaches Further Than You Think
Every song you create gives back. We partner with organizations doing extraordinary work — including charity: water and the Biyombo Foundation.
When you give a song, you're not just reaching the person who hears it. You're reaching someone you'll never meet. A gift that starts with love should travel further than the room it plays in.
